Re: ICANN Staff finally admits it: There is no bottom up process and no difference between "policy" and "implementation"
by Anonymous
Sometimes, I think that the Policy Staff does not understand the bottom-up multistakeholder process they are supposed to be supporting. I do not think that they get educated on the process when they are first hired, and I don't believe there is anyone in Policy Staff who could teach it. I am not even sure that the leader of the Policy Staff even believes in multistakeholder bottom -up processes - though the public face of ICANN declares that it is the epitome of bottom-up. I think that instead the ladership believe that the volunteer corps are just a bunch of interfering ingrates who they have to control so that the trains can run on time. And it shows in the way they treat the process. avri
